With market volatility having subsided somewhat after a raucous start to the year, Rupert has been busy bumping up the commodities allocation in portfolios amidst a pickup in China’s housing market.

Outside of commodities, Rupert sees portfolios continuing to benefit from their overweight positions in high yield US debt and particularly developed market equities. In a world where the prospects for growth and inflation are perhaps a little less challenged than widely perceived, these should be areas of particular interest for investors in coming quarters.
