Important information regarding the transfer of business from Barclays Private Clients International Limited, Guernsey Branch to Barclays Bank PLC, Guernsey Branch.

LATEST NEWS

The business of Barclays Private Clients International Limited, Guernsey Branch transferred to Barclays Bank PLC, Guernsey Branch on 1 October 2016.

Please see the important information and documents below, which were issued when we first gave notice of our intention to transfer the business in June 2016.

At Barclays we continually evaluate our business model and how we operate. Following a recent review, it is our intention to transfer the business of Barclays Private Clients International Limited, Guernsey Branch (“BPCI, Guernsey Branch”) to Barclays Bank PLC, Guernsey Branch (“BBPLC, Guernsey Branch”) (the “Transfer”). This reflects our ongoing commitment to Guernsey as a strategic location for banking services.

Subject to regulatory and other approvals, the Transfer is due to take effect from 00.01am on 1 October 2016.

About the Transfer

This is simply a reorganisation within the Barclays Group. The Transfer will not change the way clients use existing products and services and all account information will remain the same.

The Transfer will mean the provider of products and services governed by the Barclays Wealth and Investment Management Terms will change to BBPLC, Guernsey Branch.

For certain products and services such as mortgages and loans, the provider may change to BBPLC, Guernsey Branch either on the date of the Transfer or at a later date.

Barclays is also proposing to transfer separately the business of its BPCI, Isle of Man and Jersey branches to the Isle of Man and Jersey branches of BBPLC. View details for the Isle of Man and for Jersey.
